We are pleased to be able to present our short course
at your company’s site as a cost effective method to deliver
surfactant training to large numbers of employees without the added
expense of employee travel, either here in the US or anywhere in the
world. The course has been previously presented
at companies in England, Italy,
Japan, The Netherlands, The Philippines, South Africa, Switzerland, Thailand,
and the
United States.
GENERAL
INFORMATION
The course is structured to take two and one-half
days. It begins at 8 a.m.
and ends at 4:30 p.m., with a half hour for lunch, usually at 12 noon to
12:30 p.m. The third day of
the course begins at 8 a.m. and ends at 12 noon.
This schedule can be adjusted if your company has different
opening and closing times or wants a different lunch time.
Costs for the course include a general fee, and expenses for two instructors for the two and one-half days of
the course. Expenses for
the instructors would include airfare, hotel, meals, etc. In addition, there will be a charge for the notebook each
student receives for the course.
The cost for an on-site presentation can vary if two
courses are scheduled near each other in time and distance.
For example, we regularly schedule courses in Amsterdam and
Bangkok. If a course in the
same area of the world is scheduled prior to or just after one of these
courses or in conjunction with another on-site course being offered
nearby, the travel expenses are pro-rated to reduce the expense of
offering the couse at your site.
FIRST-TIME
COURSE OFFERING AT A COMPANY
The first time the short course is presented at a
company, the fee is $15,000, plus expenses for the two instructors, and
cost of the notebooks. The
cost of the notebook when the course is held inside the US is $180 per
person and the cost when the course is held outside the US is $235 per
person. The higher amount for international courses is to cover
additional shipping expenses.
REPEAT
AND IASR MEMBER COMPANIES
For companies at which the course
has been presented previously and sponsors of IASR (Institute for
Applied Surfactant Research at the University of Oklahoma), the fee will
be $13,500, plus expenses for two instructors, and cost of notebooks.
The cost of the notebook when the course is held inside the US is
$180 per person and the cost when the course is held outside the US is
$235 per person. The higher
amount for international courses is to cover additional shipping
expenses. Sponsorship of
IASR is $8,000 per year and brings with it benefits beyond the reduced
fee structure. Information

CONSULTING
Sometimes a company also wants to schedule consulting
time while the instructors are there. The fee for consulting is $200 per hour ($1,600 per day per
person or $800 per half-day per person) plus expenses.
The consulting time is usually scheduled for the afternoon of the
third day, following the short course, but can be at another time.
